GENSHIN IMPACT — Probably the game I spend the most time on if I'm not playing my rhythm games. Online every day, just to look at the characters I have in possession. The amount of time I spend on looking at my characters while I do my homework in the background. You truly can call it some simp behaviour, but I will probably try to fend for myself as if my life depends on it.

WANDERER

Wanderer, or as I have called him Scara, is the newest addition to the characters I main. The moment I saw him in game, I knew I had to get him in a way or another, so I was very happy to hear he was in fact going to be playable! He's probably the strongest character I main, though it's arguable when it comes to Hu Tao. I'm planning on getting a 4pc Desert Pavilion Chronicle set, but the road still seems very long... I never farmed so much for a character. Everything for this tragic character. He will be forever my wiwi, even if he's not my first electro DPS like everyone initially thought he would be.
HU TAO

Hu Tao is my very first 5* I got in game. Even now, she's has been a very reliable ally in battles. I struggled a bit at the beginning with her charged attack cancel, but I got her C1 with her first rerun and that fixed her biggest issue honestly. I pulled her because my sister pulled on her banner and I told her I would do too… except she didn't get her and I did. I also didn't know she was meta, but hey, who plays for meta when you can play with characters you like? Anyway, Hu Tao suffers from crit problems since day 1.

Not gonna lie, his playstyle looks funky and ridiculous, but his damage is so so so satisfying... I really like it, though I definitely didn't expect it. Neuvillette's JP voice actor was the first reason why I pulled on him, but his character really grew on me too. I hate to say so, but since he was introduced, Ayato definitely lost his place as my to go hydro character... Not only that, Neuvillette's character is also much more fleshed out than Ayato will ever be. I like him so much, I triple crowned him on the day I got him.

Man… the Itto experience is probably one of the funniest things that has happened in my Genshin history when it comes to wanting a character. I really liked his personality when he was revealed, but I really couldn't afford it to pull for him since I was saving for someone. But then… the seiyuu announcement. It was no one other than TMR. Like what the actual hell?? Literally a rock legend in Japan, so how could I not pull for him? The days after that, my brother kept asking me why I liked old people, but that's the sacrifice you sometimes have to make. Anyway, his artifacts are kinda bad, so there's still some work to do.

It's the very reliable Xingqiu!! One of the characters that can't be missed in my team!! Skill damage? No problem. Need an off-field burst? Say no more. A small heal? You're at the right place. I genuinely think he is one of my best build characters and I think that's cool. Fun fact: I got maybe half of his cons by buying them from the shop or choosing him from events. That's how bad my luck was when it comes to pulling him. He was definitely one of the characters I wanted the most and I'm glad he's still doing well in my team.
CHONGYUN

Chongyun, my popsicle boy. I know people say he's bad and his cryo infusion is annoying, but really? It only causes problems for physical dps at most. His burst damage is really nice and the minimum cool down reduction is kinda nice…? Anyway, his seiyuu is Saito Soma and I played the game without sound for a long time. When I turned on the volume and when I heard his line, I was in shock and gasped so loud. One of the first characters to join my journey, so he really has been through a lot.
SHIKANOIN HEIZOU

Heizou was not a character I thought I would like so much. His gameplay seemed fun, so I wanted him and got him C6 as well, ehe. Anyway!! He's the main dps when I play with my 4* team, which I often do, and he's a great dps at that too! I have to say that everyone was talking about his big damage and then I saw no one really play with Heizou after his release… An Ayato case, but less worse I guess. Also, Heizou is not a Wanderer at home!! He's technically a DPS, but shhhh...

I wanted Bennett because I kinda liked his overall positive look on things despite being the most unlucky person to exist. I think he is an adorable lad and a very good support at that too!! I do want to make him C6 lowkey, but at the same time I understand why I wouldn't (in case if I ever get a physical DPS). Random, but Bennett is voiced by Osaka Ryouta and he happens to voice one of my all time favourite characters, so another reason to like Bennett!
FARUZAN

Faurzan is a weird individual, but at least she is a solid anemo support. I have no clue what to think of her yet, but I can tell you for sure that her gameplay is actually very enjoyable. It's fun to use her skill and do two charged attacks after, while sucking up the enemies. That's fun and then you realize her cooldown is no more and then you repeat the same rotation. I think she has no reason to be this fun and strong to play with, so it's kind of refreshing.
GOROU

Who is a good boy? Gorou is a good boy. I didn't really build him when Igot him first because I didn't really see a point in building him with 0 cons, but I kinda regret it now. He is so good for Itto, but yeah, I got Gorou C6 now when I pulled for Scara so he is even better. I think he is a solid support, but sadly you need two other geo characters to reach his full potential. Only Itto and Noelle benefit fully of Gorou's support.
YUNJIN

To be honest, I have no clue what to think of Yunjin. She is a great representation of the Chinese culture, but I haven't discovered too much of her character yet. She is still kind of "eh", but maybe I should do her hangout to learn more about her. I build her for Yoimiya and Ayato since Yunjin buffs normal attacks and there's an increase in attack speed when you have her C6. She's not build very well, but she does her job and that's cool.

KAMISATO AYATO

Ah, Ayato. The most reliable main when it comes to open world, though he has been a bit dethroned by Scara. He really saved me out a lot and unlike others, I don't think his gameplay is boring. Why I pulled for him…? Even that is a mystery to me. I probably got pulled in by all the hype. The longer I played with him, the more I kind of became done with him? Don't get me wrong, he is nice, but the damage is just... Not after all the farming I have done. I feel sad. Ayato didn't age very well sadly.
NINGGUANG

Ningguang was also one of the 4* characters I played a lot and she can even survive as a DPS on her own, but even now I haven't invested a lot into her and that's how she kinda fell from characters I use the most spot. Don't get me wrong, she's still a solid sub-dps and I use her 15% geo damage buff for Itto when I can, but I don't play as much with her like I used to. Her character story is very nice though and her hangout really showed how she feels about certain things.
KUJOU SARA

Sara is a bit random. I kinda like how she is always bickering with Itto and how serious and not serious she can be. She is a great electro support, especially at C6, but the only downside is... I don't have a single electro DPS to benefit from her. I only build her because I like her and she does decent damage on her own with her burst, so that's something. She buffs a great amount of attack in general tho, but the extra electro damage for an electro character is her full potential I still need to obtain.
